Vice President of Human Resources AstraZeneca China


Lingzhen Wen is Vice President of Human Resources, AstraZeneca China. He and his team have been recognized by "China Staff" with the "2006 Best HR Team Award." To expand and strengthen the talent supply line for the local markets in China, AstraZeneca China HR focused on talent management in order to attract and retain talented individuals.  In 2003, AstraZeneca China started from 1,500 employees and grew to its present size of 2,800 employees. Based on his experience within the realm of talent management, he placed an emphasis on developing young managers to fill upper leadership roles so as maintain and augment business development.
Through the use of large-scale activities such as “The Year of Coaching Campaign,” he has focused on high-potential leadership development and supporting the creation of a more effective sales personnel echelon. He has 12 years of experience in organizational development, human resources and learning and development. Since 1999, within AstraZeneca China he has assumed more professional responsibilities, including working as a human resource manager, and in the creation of organizational development and learning and talent strategy. Prior to joining AstraZeneca, he studied in North America for three years, and later, he worked as a human resources consultant in Canada.  In 2003, he joined AstraZeneca. His early work experience includes time spent at Coca-Cola China as a working as a development manager at DongDaeMun Consulting. His personal passions include music, sports and international travel.
